The “Road Less Travelled”
I had imprinted a piece of silver with some interesting texture selections from my studio stash. I thought after the first pass, it had a vague resemblance to a map of some sort. I then felt compelled to add some scattered depressions and it became more firmly defined as a random series of roads with a few choices one could make to stop, I thought.
While working the metal, the last few lines of the Robert Frost poem, “The Road Not Taken”, one of my favorites, continually ran through my mind:
‘Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference”
My chosen path has made all the difference for me and perhaps this has had meaning for you at some time as well.
